Late PR. Implementation was done by Sunday afternoon, but performance stuff happened late Sunday night (before and after midnight) in which I wasted a loooot of time on (1) not being able to read my own code and process it enough to find the stupidest of stupid bugs (2) generating performance data in a reasonably nice way and then making spending a lot of time making plots (3) radix sort.
