Andy's Runebound Reliquary

Andy's Runebound Reliquary

Excess XP Storage Rune for Minecraft Bedrock

Andy's Runebound Reliquary gives survival players a durable, upgradeable place to store experience. It preserves exact XP points, supports private and shared access, retains its contents when dismantled, and can grow into linked vertical storage stacks.

The Reliquary is deliberately balanced around a substantial initial crafting recipe, a seven-tier capacity path, and a separate set of linking costs. Reaching its largest storage capacity takes meaningful survival progression instead of providing enormous XP storage immediately.

Download and Install

  1. Download Andy's Runebound Reliquary 0.4.2.
  2. Open the .mcaddon file with Minecraft Bedrock and allow both included packs to import.
  3. Edit the world where you want to use the addon.
  4. Activate Andy's Runebound Reliquary under Behavior Packs. Confirm that its linked Resource Pack is also active.
  5. Adjust the add-on's world settings if you want to change upgrade costs, upgrade order, default access, particles, or statistics visibility.

Minecraft Bedrock 26.30 or newer is required. Experiments are not required.

Crafting

Craft the Runebound Reliquary at a crafting table:

Bottle o' Enchanting Bottle o' Enchanting Bottle o' Enchanting
Polished Blackstone Bricks Lodestone Polished Blackstone Bricks
Copper Ingot Amethyst Cluster Copper Ingot

Using the Reliquary

  • Attack normally: Deposit as much XP as the Reliquary or compatible stack can accept.
  • Interact normally: Withdraw stored XP. If you are holding a valid upgrade material, it is offered toward that upgrade first.
  • Sneak + interact: Open the information panel to inspect storage, ownership, access, upgrades, stack status, and activity records. The panel also provides controlled deposit and withdrawal amounts from 8 through 64 level-equivalents, plus all-XP options.
  • Sneak + attack: Safely dismantle your Reliquary. Its XP, upgrades, access mode, ownership, upgrade progress, and statistics remain on the dropped item.

XP is stored as exact points. Minecraft's displayed levels become progressively more expensive, so the number of displayed levels represented by a fixed amount of XP depends on the player's current level.

Capacity Upgrades

By default, capacity upgrades are completed in order. World owners can instead allow upgrades in any order and can adjust every material cost.

Tier Upgrade Material Default Cost Capacity
Dormant Crafted state 112 XP
Ember Redstone Block 10 352 XP
Scribe Lapis Lazuli Block 10 828 XP
Astral Quartz Block 10 1,628 XP
Lucent Diamond Block 10 4,788 XP
Verdant Emerald Block 10 10,252 XP
Supercharged Netherite Ingot 4 217,664 XP

Stacking and Funneling

Compatible Reliquaries placed directly above one another form a vertical stack. They must share the same owner and access mode.

  • Deposits fill the stack from the bottom upward.
  • Withdrawals drain the stack from the top downward.
  • Each Reliquary keeps its own XP balance, records, and fill-color display.
  • Stack capacity is the combined capacity of its members.
  • Removing a Reliquary immediately removes its capacity and stored XP from the connected stack total without deleting the XP preserved on that Reliquary.
  • If a stack temporarily contains more XP than its available capacity, the XP is preserved, but new deposits are blocked until enough XP is withdrawn.

Stacks use repeating groups of six. The bottom Reliquary in each group is its foundation, and as many as five Reliquaries above it can inherit the foundation's capacity tier when linked in order.

Linked Position Required Offering
First Reliquary above the foundation Copper Block
Second Gold Block
Third Iron Block
Fourth Amethyst Block
Fifth Gilded Blackstone

The seventh Reliquary begins a new group and becomes the next foundation. Only a foundation retains its capacity upgrades when dismantled; followers inherit them only while their links remain intact.

Rune Colors

Every Reliquary displays its own fill state:

Color Stored Amount
Red Empty
Yellow More than empty and below one-third full
Green One-third to below two-thirds full
Blue Two-thirds to below full
Purple Full or temporarily over capacity

Private and Public Access

  • Private: Only the player who placed the Reliquary may deposit, withdraw, upgrade, change its settings, or dismantle it.
  • Public: Any player may deposit, withdraw, inspect, and contribute upgrades. Only the owner may change access or dismantle it.

New Reliquaries are private by default unless the world setting is changed.

World and Operator Settings

The Behavior Pack settings allow world owners to configure:

  • Ordered or unrestricted capacity upgrades
  • The cost of every capacity upgrade
  • Private or public default access
  • Floating XP motes
  • Whether visitors may inspect statistics

Operators can open the in-world configuration panel with:

/scriptevent runebound:config

Additional recovery commands are available for auditing Reliquaries, refreshing visuals, recovering records, and claiming ownerless Reliquaries:

/scriptevent runebound:admin audit
/scriptevent runebound:admin visuals
/scriptevent runebound:admin recover
/scriptevent runebound:admin claim

Piston movement is not supported. Safely dismantle and replace a Reliquary when it needs to be moved.
