The mod JEI is recommended to make finding crafting recipes easier, but it is not required, nor does it change gameplay. All crafting recipes are given on join, this way you can find them in the recipe book. When using survival mode, I would recommend crafting the “Hospital Chemistry: Fundamentals” book to get a good start to progressing.
NOTE: Please download the latest version, not the most downloaded version, as newer content and more stable builds will be released in higher versions.
