Creating an Island

You first begin by creating an island using the /is create command.

Debris

Once you create your island, you will be given a Debris Catcher block, which you can place down on your island to collect items from debris that floats around. This can give petrified sticks, dead leaves, dust, and fiber.

Composting

You can compost dead leaves to get dirt.

Sifting

You can then use the petrified sticks to craft petrified planks, and use the fiber to craft a fiber mesh which you can use to create a sifter. You can then use this sifter to sift dust blocks to get gravel chunks and sand chunks, which you can craft into gravel and sand respectively and then sift those. Sifting gravel gives flint, and sifting sand gives quartz chunks and charcoal. You can sift dirt to get dead wheat seeds, life essence, pebbles, gravel chunks, and sand chunks.

Completing the Chapter

You can craft dead wheat seeds together with life essence to create wheat seeds, which you can plant on regular dirt. You can also craft 8 dead leaves together with life essence to create a petrified sapling.
