Hey DevDogs! For our 2025-2026 project, we will be building a full-stack web application: a Community Resource Forum for CS students at UGA! This forum will be a hub for crowd-sourced opportunities that can be verified by members of the CS community. It will allow students to share opportunities related to academic support, professional development, and campus involvement with the community. Later, we will include automatically generated events from external sources, such as emails and images of fliers.
These are some of the features we plan to integrate into our application!
- Profile Customization: Add a preferred name, profile photo, bio, and links to other platforms (e.g. LinkedIn) to your profile
- Embed Images: Include embedded images in your posts to the forum
- Event Calendar: Save events to a calendar page which syncs with your Google or Outlook calendar
- Search: Search by text content and/or tags to find opportunities that interest you
- Frontend: React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS
- Backend: Next.js, Drizzle ORM
- Database: MySQL
