+Project `test-framework` is a dual-stack project:
+- **Rust backend**: `tf-config` (YAML config, templates, profiles) + `tf-security` (keyring secrets) — covered by 306+ Rust tests
+- **TypeScript/Playwright**: Test infrastructure with fixtures, factories, helpers
+
+Round 2 established baseline coverage for factories, recurse fixture, and api-helpers (17 tests).
+Round 3 expands coverage to auth provider pure functions and log fixture (17 new tests).
+

+## Key Assumptions
+
+1. **No web UI / API server**: Only unit tests applicable for TypeScript layer
+2. **manageAuthToken**: Requires live API — excluded from unit tests (integration test candidate)
+3. **seedUser / deleteUser**: Require live API — excluded (integration test candidates)
+4. **apiRequest / authToken fixtures**: Stub implementations — tested indirectly
+5. **Env var isolation**: Auth provider tests save/restore `process.env.TEST_ENV` in beforeEach/afterEach
+6. **Console spy pattern**: Log fixture tests intercept console methods and restore in afterEach
+
+## Risks
+
+- **Timing-sensitive tests**: recurse and waitFor use real `setTimeout`. Tolerant bounds applied (250ms floor, 600ms ceiling)
+- **Fixture coupling**: Tests using `merged-fixtures.ts` depend on fixture wiring. Changes to registration could break tests
+- **Console spying**: Log fixture tests replace `console.log/warn/error` globally. Proper restore in afterEach prevents pollution
+

+

+2. **When API available**: Re-run `testarch-automate` to generate API/integration tests
+3. **CI integration**: Add `test:unit` script to `package.json` for selective execution
+4. **Burn-in**: Run `npx playwright test tests/unit/ --repeat-each=10` to confirm zero flakiness
+5. **Traceability**: Run `testarch-trace` to map tests to requirements
+
