Left line selection in the unified mode is not supported,
if the user tries to the line in the unified mode or entering with a line hash URL, it will fall back to side-by-side.
if the user tries to switch to unified mode while left line is selected, it will cancel the selection.
In diff mod, #L stands for left editor, #R stands for right editor.
Permalink state is changed with backward compatibility
