Built for privacy, speed, and a low‑profile footprint.
IridiumOS Fork
This FixCraft Inc. fork is tailored exclusively for IridiumOS deployments. If you need a general-purpose Phoenix shell, use the upstream project at HeyPuter/puter.
chimerix is a web-based shell built for IridiumOS — a more private, fast, and low‑profile fork of AnuraOS.
IridiumOS is a community fork; full credit for the original project goes to
Mercury Workshop.
Forked and modified from
HeyPuter/puter (packages/phoenix),
where more information on the original project can be found.
Support for platforms other than IridiumOS will be removed from this fork, as this
is intended to be tightly integrated with IridiumOS specifically.
Documentation on how to run Chimerix in IridiumOS is coming soon.
- More private: Local‑first operation, offline‑capable, and no telemetry by default.
- Faster: Lean defaults and optimizations tuned specifically for IridiumOS with additional FixCraft hardening.
- Low‑profile: Minimal network surface and a discreet UI for a quieter footprint.
- IridiumOS: FixCraft Inc’s community fork of AnuraOS — thanks to Mercury Workshop for the original project and vision.
- Chimerix: Forked from HeyPuter/puter (Phoenix) with modifications for IridiumOS integration.
You can find our tests in the test/ directory. Testing is done with mocha. Make sure it's installed, then run:
npm testWe're looking to continue improving the shell and broaden its usefulness. Here are a few ideas we have for the future:
- local machine platform support
See this issue
- further support for the POSIX Command Language
