This is the standalone PR for updating Chromium from v116 to v128 to resolve the Windows-specific issue where Chromium sometimes wouldn’t close after a download finished.

Notes

Complexity: High

• Chromium was upgraded from v116 to v128 to fix the issue where the browser wouldn’t close properly after downloads on Windows.

• Background: I previously tried upgrading, but AniWave flagged the new driver as automated. So if AniWave ever comes back, we’ll need a solid way to confirm the upgrade won’t cause regressions.

• I’ve been using Chromium v128 for a while now without issues on AniWorld.to and SerienStream.to/S.to. (win & linux)
• AniWave support was removed after the site went offline (I think?), so that’s one less thing to worry about. But if you ever plan to bring back AniWave support, ofc this version update might still cause getting flagged as automated.

Let me know if you want me to test anything specific with this Chromium version on any of the currently supported sites.
