Ubuntu 26.04 is an unreleased LTS version (scheduled for April 2026). Upgrading the base image to 26.04 will break the Dockerfile build because third-party repositories (such as Docker CE, Bazel, and Microsoft ODBC) do not yet support or provide packages for this unreleased Ubuntu codename. It is highly recommended to stick to the stable LTS version 24.04.
