- Use standard types instead of library custom types
- Fix some warnings
- Fix some code quality issues comparing bool values
- Write down c99 as the minimum C standard used
c11 is the gcc default in mainstream distributions, but this is the minimum version for stdint, inttypes and stdbool. former two were already used in the library.
