Development workflow

Run the following commands when working on the project:

# install dependencies
npm install

# start the dev server
npm run dev

# check formatting and lint rules
npm run lint

# run the test suite
npm test -- --run

The Supabase credentials used in development are stored in src/integrations/supabase/client.ts. If you fork this repo or use your own Supabase project, update those values accordingly.

Contributing

  1. Pick an open item from docs/BUILD_PLAN.md.
  2. Create a pull request with your changes.
  3. Ensure npm test passes before submitting.
  4. Include a short summary of what was changed.

Edit a file directly in GitHub

  • Navigate to the desired file(s).
  • Click the "Edit" button (pencil icon) at the top right of the file view.
  • Make your changes and commit the changes.

Use GitHub Codespaces

  • Navigate to the main page of your repository.
  • Click on the "Code" button (green button) near the top right.
  • Select the "Codespaces" tab.
  • Click on "New codespace" to launch a new Codespace environment.
  • Edit files directly within the Codespace and commit and push your changes once you're done.
