Updates docxodus from 7.0.1 to 9.4.0

Release notes

Sourced from docxodus's releases.

v9.4.0

Minor release. Full details in CHANGELOG.md.

Added

  • Table cell merge/unmerge — DocxSession.MergeCells/UnmergeCells (issue #340, the deferred Stage B of post-insert table editing). MergeCells(cellAnchor, rowSpan, colSpan, TableMergeOptions?) writes native w:gridSpan for the horizontal extent and w:vMerge restart/continue for the vertical one, so a title cell spanning a header row or a label cell spanning several data rows is finally expressible; UnmergeCells(cellAnchor) is the exact inverse, restoring one cell per grid column at its w:tblGrid width (addressing a continuation cell unmerges the whole run). The rectangle must tile the same whole grid columns in every row it covers and must not clip a vertical merge entering from above or continuing below — a partial overlap is rejected with the new EditErrorCode.InvalidTableMerge before any snapshot is taken, never silently tearing the grid. Absorbed cells' content is moved into the surviving cell by default (TableMergeContent.Append, lossless — the paragraphs keep their anchors), with Discard/Reject as explicit alternatives. Wired through DocxSessionOps → WASM/npm (mergeCells/unmergeCells) → MCP docxodus_table (merge_cells/unmerge_cells); the grid model, anchor semantics for continuation cells and the CRUD rules are documented in docs/architecture/docx_mutation_api.md.

Fixed

  • DocxDiff edited moves no longer leave replaced text behind after Reject All in Word-compatible consumers (issue #359). MoveModifyBlock destinations were fragmented into w:moveTo spans around nested w:ins/w:del edits. Docxodus's own revision processor accepted and rejected that shape, but Word-class consumers treat the nested revisions independently: rejecting the move restored its nested deletion at the destination, stranding the old word after the source paragraph was restored. Produced OOXML now represents an edited move as one complete left w:moveFrom and one complete right w:moveTo, so the destination is accepted or rejected atomically. The edit script and revisions APIs still expose the MoveModifyBlock token-level change; RenderMoves=false and SimplifyMoveMarkup retain their deliberate whole-block delete/insert projections.
  • Table row/column CRUD is now grid-aware instead of cell-index-aware. InsertTableRow, InsertTableColumn, DeleteTableColumn and SetColumnWidths addressed cells by their position in w:tr, which silently corrupted any table containing a merge. They now resolve cells through the grid: inserting a row inside a vertical merge extends the run (and never clones someone else's merge markup into a fresh row), deleting a merge's lead row promotes the next continuation to the new restart, inserting a column through a horizontal span widens it rather than splitting the row, deleting a column through one narrows it rather than dropping the cell, and a merged cell's w:tcW is the sum of the grid columns it spans. InsertTableRow also carries the reference row's w:gridBefore/w:gridAfter shape so the new row still lines up with w:tblGrid.
  • The opaque-table projection reported the wrong column count for merged tables. A merge is precisely what forces the ```table fallback, and its cols: line read the first row's cell count — so a 3-column table with a merged header row told the reader cols: 2. It is now the table's grid extent (the widest row's summed w:gridSpan), mirrored identically in WmlToMarkdownConverter and IrMarkdownEmitter so the equivalence contract holds.
  • The block-move surface no longer does document-scale work on every mouse move. Measured on NVCA's published Model Certificate of Incorporation (234 body blocks, 392 bookmarks, 94 footnotes, 3 section breaks), hovering across a paragraph boundary cost 624 ms → 8 ms, starting a drag (ValidMoveTargets) 4.3 s → 20–30 ms, opening the move menu 4.4 s → 12 ms, and a review-mode tracked move 8.4 s → ~390–640 ms.
