  • Visual-parity evidence framework: LibreOffice reference-version contract, Word-reference evidence store, and reduced environment cases (issues #402, #403, #404) — the disposition system now has a contracted evidence chain on both sides of the comparison:
    • Reference-version contract (#403): the benchmark is contracted to LibreOffice 25.8 (declared once in npm/tests/visual-parity/environment-contract.ts), asserted at run start with install guidance mirroring the font contract's failure mode — an out-of-contract host fails in the first second naming the TDF build to install, the bundled-font removal step, and the known cross-version rendering differences (starting with the 24.2-vs-25.8 footnote separator). CI installs that exact TDF build instead of unpinned ubuntu-latest apt (which carries 24.2 — every scheduled run would have died at the fingerprint check after twenty minutes of rendering). The ratchet's environment fingerprint additionally gains the Poppler major.minor (record schema 2): pdftoppm sits between the reference PDF and every recorded number. The pure ratchet spec proves the failure message and the contract/record/CI agreement on every pull request without LibreOffice.
    • Word-reference evidence store (#402): word-reference.json is a committed, numbers-only record of what Microsoft Word renders for each corpus fixture — page counts, page geometry, ink extents, named per-case measurements, and the Word/OS versions used; never binaries, never an image corpus. The only manual step is exporting each fixture to PDF with a licensed Word; npm run capture:word-reference automates everything downstream under the benchmark's own 96-DPI Poppler contract and shared ink model, optionally recording advisory three-way comparisons against a benchmark run. Dispositions cite recorded data via disposition.wordEvidence, which the pure spec refuses unless the cited case is actually measured. All 21 corpus cases are seeded pending; the capture procedure is documented in npm/tests/visual-parity/WORD_REFERENCE.md.
