repair python build

[hendrikmuhs]

• remove boost regex/thread from linking step
• set CXX for musl target to prevent picking clang++
• few cleanups and enhancements for readme

Note: Whenever docker images break the build, we can't detect it until images are pushed upstream and the next build runs. There is no testing step before the image is pushed. We need something like this.
