PromptMap includes a web search feature for current information on topics like weather and current events.
To enable web search:
- Sign up for an Exa API key
- Add your API key to
.env.local:EXA_API_KEY=your_exa_api_key_here
Note: Without the EXA_API_KEY, the AI will still generate mindmaps but won't fetch current information.
PromptMap includes optional anonymous data collection from non-signed-in users:
- Data is stored in a separate
anonymous_mindmaptable - Includes generated mindmap content, original prompt, session ID, and basic browser information
- No personally identifiable information is collected
To apply the anonymous data collection migration:
psql -d your_database_name -f lib/db/migrations/anonymous_mindmaps.sql
