• Move Files button

  • Fixed an issue where source directories were not properly collected.
  • Now gathers all parent directories of selected files (e.g., D:\Test) and correctly passes them as allowed_dirs when creating FileOperations.
  • Resets file_ops before each sort run to ensure clean execution.

• Organize Files button

  • Fixed the same directory handling issue in both preview (dry-run) and normal execution modes.
  • source_dirs are now properly gathered and forwarded in all cases.

• Preview → Execute flow

  • Resolved a bug where source_dirs were not correctly preserved after preview.
  • Files remain properly authorized when clicking Continue after a preview.

• _execute_organization flow

  • Now resets file_ops and correctly passes source_dirs to ensure consistent behavior across execution paths.

• Splash screen

  • Ensures a proper dark background (#1a1a2e) is rendered before drawing the icon, eliminating the temporary black screen issue.

🚀 About This Release:
This is the first official release of Sortify, a lightweight and user-friendly file sorting tool designed to help you automatically organize files in your system based on type, extension, or custom rules.

This release includes the sortify_setup.exe file, a simple installer for Windows users.

🛠 Installation Instructions:
Download sortify_setup.exe from the Releases section.

Double-click the .exe file to run the installer.

Follow the installation prompts to set up Sortify on your system.

Once installed, launch Sortify from your desktop/start menu.

⚠️ Requirements:
Windows 10 or above

.NET Desktop Runtime (if required, the installer will prompt you)

🐞 Known Issues:
Currently supports only local directory sorting.

No multi-language support yet.

No drag-and-drop functionality in this version.
