Lite focuses on one thing: teaching you to manage a knowledge base with Obsidian + Claudian — the body of Friday's second brain. Learn the six-region partition idea, and let the AI capture, organize, and retrieve for you. Daily and weekly plans you write by hand in Obsidian, or dictate to Friday in chat.
It does not do automated integrations: no Feishu bot, no capture-from-anywhere messaging, and no mechanical safeguards (lint health checks, memory decay, inbound security). Those belong to the full FridayOS — where the AI doesn't just take notes for you, it runs the whole brain under a contract. Once the partition idea clicks, your folder moves over as-is. Zero migration.
Lite is for people who:
- Have never heard of Claude or Obsidian and don't know where to download them
- Freeze at words like "command line" or "environment variable"
- Don't want a VPN or a foreign-currency subscription
- Just want an AI that remembers, organizes, and answers
If you can click a mouse and copy-paste one line, you can install it. ✅

You've heard of vibe coding — say what you want, the AI writes the code. Vibe Knowledge Management (VKM) is the same move applied to knowledge: drive your knowledge base with natural language, and let the AI do the managing. You never create folders, tag notes, or fix links by hand. You just talk — capture a stray thought, ask a question, say "the usual" — and filing, linking, and retrieval are Friday's job.
VKM is the core of Friday, and Lite is its smallest complete form. Fair notice: this is a new way of working — how well it replicates beyond us, and how quickly newcomers internalize it, still needs more users to verify. That's exactly what this repo is for.

An empty brain is hard to appreciate. We ship a ready-to-play sandbox — a fictional 100-person IT company with full employee files, projects, customers, all wikilinked across the six regions, plus 11 demo prompts in three acts that each show something a free chatbot window cannot do. The six regions aren't just tidy — they're what makes Friday absurdly cheap to run. Aggregate queries scan structured frontmatter (dozens of tokens per file) instead of whole documents; every domain has an overview map (MOC) so Friday starts from one page, not eleven; questions open only the region they belong to; and routines live in skills/ once, invoked by name instead of re-explained every time.
Measured on DeepSeek V4 over a 169-note vault: brain build ¥0.10, a complex multi-file analysis ≈¥0.02 per question, 11 of them back-to-back ¥0.26 total. A real 10-person team ran this architecture for a full week — the heaviest user spent under ¥20.
