About Me

I am a third-year Honours Computer Systems Engineering Co-op student at Carleton University and an ASIC Engineering Co-op at Ciena.

I enjoy building systems at the boundary between hardware and software, including real-time computer vision, embedded devices, RTL design and verification, robotics, automation tooling, and Linux-based systems.

My favourite projects are the ones where timing, hardware limitations, system integration, and debugging all matter.

  • Working with Python, SystemVerilog, UVM, pyuvm, Linux, Git, and verification workflows
  • Building embedded systems using C, C++, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, Arduino, sensors, and motor control
  • Exploring ROS 2 robotics, real-time systems, FPGA design, and autonomous systems
  • Turning discontinued or proprietary hardware into open and maintainable systems

A real-time optical emergency communication system running on QNX RTOS. A Raspberry Pi camera detects rapid Morse-code light flashes, decodes them locally, and uses an on-device AI model to produce an operator-friendly emergency summary.

QNX C Python Raspberry Pi 5 Computer Vision Local AI

A parameterized synchronous FIFO built in SystemVerilog with valid-ready handshaking, overflow and underflow protection, and a self-checking testbench using a scoreboard reference model.

An ongoing conversion of a discontinued proprietary 3D printer into an open-source machine using an SKR V1.4 Turbo, TMC2209 drivers, Marlin firmware, a modern hotend, and reusable original hardware.

A Wi-Fi-controlled robotic vehicle with a mounted arm, custom mechanical components, servo control, and a separate potentiometer-based controller for safely handling objects.

Current Focus

  • Developing a ROS 2-based humanoid robotic arm with sensor feedback, camera integration, and modular control
  • Expanding my knowledge of ASIC design verification, UVM, pyuvm, regression automation, and waveform debugging
  • Continuing the CubeX Trio open-source conversion and documenting the engineering process
  • Building reliable embedded systems that combine software, electronics, sensing, and physical actuation
