Odoo POS Camera Scanner

A lightweight barcode scanner for Odoo Point of Sale. It uses your device's camera to scan barcodes directly in the browser (powered by Quagga2), so you don't need a physical scanner. This app was written by me and Google AI Studio

Compatibility

I developed and tested this module using Odoo 16 and iOS. However, since it runs directly in the browser, it should work fine on other Odoo versions and other devices without any issues.

Installation

1. Put the pos_camera_scanner folder into your Odoo addons directory.
2. Restart your Odoo server.
3. Enable Developer Mode, go to Apps > Update Apps List.
4. Search for POS Custom Camera Scanner and install.

Important Usage Note

When you open the POS, Odoo loads products in the background. If you have many products, please wait 3-5 minutes for all products to fully load into the POS cache before scanning. If you scan too early, the scanner might not find the product instantly.
