I guess that the POWO staff have a reason to reject requests initiated by this Python lib (this started recently) and that they won't accept this PR which goes quite far to work around their blocking logic. However, as long as the API happily serves curl requests without any issues, I find it only fair to provide the same access to Python users, too.
