Hi, I'm a Computer Science student at UC San Diego driven to create software that makes the world a better place.
I'm building a data pipeline that analyzes thousands of Congressional roll call votes to create political stance profiles of US Congress. With LLM-powered analysis on each bill's summary, I'm extracting the relevant political categories and then assigning appropriate partisan and impact scores to then be factored into each member's individual ideology calculation. With this project, I'm hoping to make Congress more transparent and help voters understand the policy positions of their current representatives.
A website with initial results can be found here: Political Stance Tracker Website
Previously, I interned at GEI Consultants Inc. where I contributed to the Corps Water Management System (CWMS), an automated information system used by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to better manage water resources. I worked closely with the CWMS Data API, CWMS Database, and the CWMS Visual Utility Engine. This project strengthened my skills in Java, SQL, and API development.
I was the Software Scouting Backend Lead at FRC Team 1678 for 2 years, where I led the development of the scouting system. If you're curious, please check out our public repository and whitepaper for the 2024 season.
