A. Linus Torvalds

A. Best known for developing the Linux kernel.

A. 2005

4.What is the git command to initialize a new repository?
A. We can use the git init

5. In your own words, describe what the command git push is doing.
A. So there are different stages of committing to GitHub. The push stage is sending whatever changes you made from your computer or files to the remote repository.

6. What is the purpose of a .gitignore file?
A. To not send certain files to Git. Such as important secret files.

7. What is a fork? Why would you want to have a fork?
A. A fork is a copy of a repo. Copying it or forking it will allow us to pretty much experiment it without affecting the original project.

8.What is a clone? How many clones can you have?
A. Clone is when you copy a repoistory from Github to your computer. I believe you can have as many as you'd like.

9.Should you put a Github repository inside of another Github repository?
A. No you should never do that.

10. You can type git status at any time while in a git repository - true or false?
A. Yes you may, so you can check the status of the files.
