\subsection{Duties of the Education Officer}

The Education Officer shall be responsible for developing and promoting
educational opportunities for the community which fulfill the mission outlined
in \ref{whyweexist}. They shall act as a liaison between educators and the
hackerspace, organize and schedule educational programs, recruit instructors
to teach classes, coordinate use of facilities and equipment for said programs,
and work with the Secretary to advertise those opportunities to the publicly
available channels. The Education Officer shall help members and potential
members get in touch with subject matter experts.

\subsection{Duties of the Cultural Officer}

The Cultural Officer shall work to establish, maintain, and push maker culture
both internally and externally. Internally, the Cultural Officer should act as
a cheerleader for group projects, a neutral mediator to keep projects on track,
and a resource to help match member project goals with the skills and knowledge
of other members to succeed in development and completion of projects. The
Cultural Officer will help vet ideas for group projects and maintain lists, help
collect and document research, and match with grant opportunities where
appropriate.

Externally, the Cultural officer shall assist in matching the Hackerspace's
current and future projects with the needs of other community members and
organization. Find ways to highlight and enhance Hackerspace efforts through
creative partnerships and work with the Educational Officer and Secretary to
ensure that projects and efforts maximize external community inclusion, highlight
the efforts and knowledge of contributing members, and builds a broader acceptance
and understanding of what making, makers, and the creative process means by the
Alachua County community.
