Dominic Vonk wrote a very handy package for resolving VS Code variables like ${file}. To avoid adding a dependency and as the original code is very small I copied it instead, modified it slightly and utilized it to resolve such variables in the optional arguments. The original code is published under the MIT license and is properly cited in the new file.
