TF-NRD is a curated non-redundant dataset of transcription factor (TF) sequences and structures, designed to support structural and functional analysis of TF assemblies across domains of life.
Transcription factors (TFs) are key regulators of gene expression. They interact with various biomolecules, including DNA, RNA, DNAβRNA hybrids, and proteins, to perform their regulatory functions.
The TF-NRD dataset provides a comprehensive and non-redundant collection of TFs to facilitate:
- Structural analysis of TF complexes
- Understanding TF binding mechanisms
- Development of predictive computational models
- Exploration of TF interaction diversity
- TFs play critical roles in gene regulation
- TFs interact with:
- DNA
- RNA
- DNAβRNA hybrids
- Protein partners
- Structural diversity of TFs enables unique interaction interfaces
- Provides an atlas for studying TF assemblies across biological domains
- Useful for computational prediction and modeling of TF interactions
