TF-NRD: Transcription Factors Non-Redundant Dataset

TF-NRD is a curated non-redundant dataset of transcription factor (TF) sequences and structures, designed to support structural and functional analysis of TF assemblies across domains of life.

πŸ”¬ Overview

Transcription factors (TFs) are key regulators of gene expression. They interact with various biomolecules, including DNA, RNA, DNA–RNA hybrids, and proteins, to perform their regulatory functions.

The TF-NRD dataset provides a comprehensive and non-redundant collection of TFs to facilitate:

  • Structural analysis of TF complexes
  • Understanding TF binding mechanisms
  • Development of predictive computational models
  • Exploration of TF interaction diversity

✨ Highlights

  • TFs play critical roles in gene regulation
  • TFs interact with:
    • DNA
    • RNA
    • DNA–RNA hybrids
    • Protein partners
  • Structural diversity of TFs enables unique interaction interfaces
  • Provides an atlas for studying TF assemblies across biological domains
  • Useful for computational prediction and modeling of TF interactions
