Created the development container image and added Java feature with Gradle installation.
Added Maven installation to the devcontainer configuration.

This doesn't help much at the moment
HOWEVER, I found out that Codespaces is billed to Codespace creator. I tested this by creating a codespace on this repo and as documentation details, it was billed to me.
The thing is, I'm verified as a student on Github and thus am in the "Github Education tier" which as you can see in: https://github.com/education/students
Means I get codespaces for free, and thus didn't actually need to pay for anything.
Therefore if we plan to better take advantage of Github education in the future, we should implement this for codespace usage.
