Game Story In a world threatened by countless natural disasters, you play as two heroes: a knight and a mage, tasked with traveling between villages to save (or destroy civilization). As you journey, you will encounter natural disasters of growing intensity, and the choice is yours as to whether you will allow them to come to pass. On your travels, you will encounter friends and foes, including the locals of the villages you visit and a rabid wolf that seems to track your every move. Each village you visit presents not only physical challenges, but moral and emotional dilemmas that grow heavier each step.
Introduction: Cutscene introducing the world and how more and more natural disasters or ‘corruption’ is spreading. The knight and the mage meet and work together to stop the corruption spreading. Both players start in a peaceful forest. All the animals are calm, and the game introduces the turn based fighting system in this forest. The players encounter a wolf. The wolf seems to be running away from something, but the players decide to fight it. The tutorial walks the player through the basics of how each player needs to input their attack before the turn starts. Each attack either costs or earns points. You can do better attacks with more points, but the better attacks also cost points and take longer to recharge. You have to control which characters increase the points and which do the better attacks. Doing basic attacks adds points too. They defeat the wolf, but then they encounter an animal that seems to be corrupted. The tutorial also introduces the combo system. One player can poison the enemy while the other does increased damage because of it. By defeating the animal, the players venture further and find the evil nature man. The evil nature man is hurt from the wolf earlier, and when he sees you, the evil nature man delivers a mysterious monologue before disappearing into the forest. You go further and enter the first village.
The knight/mage is dreaming in their bed. The nature man appears in the dream and states that they will give the knight/mage great power if they allow the nature man to destroy villages using various natural disaster spirits. The knight/mage wakes up, travels next door to their friend, the mage/knight, and explains the dream. The two of them agree to set out and see what they can do about the various disasters that are going to affect the villages.
