Couple questions:

• Is this a sheild that goes ontop of the arduino?
• The e-stop button looks much larger that the space allocated for it on the layout, is the plan to atatch the button to the arduino over a cable or is it going to be one thing (button + arduino as one unit)?

Yes The shield goes on top of the arduino and the estop button will be attached to the two through holes on the PCB layout via cables, there will be 3d printed parts to hold the arduino+PCB and the estop button together

To avoid having to repurchase boards incase this design needs additions/changes, can we add in a 0.100" grid similar to those on prototyping boards to fill out some of the empty space?

Otherwise, everything looks good!
