  • Git Repository - Setup a github account and repository to manage, version and collabrate on your codes.

🚀 Project Requirements

Building the Data Warehouse(Data Engineering)

Main Objective

Develop a modern data warehouse using a SQL Server to consolidate a sales data , by enabling the analytics reporting and informed decision making.

Specifications

  • Data Sources : Import the data from the source systems through CRM and ERP provided as CSV Files.

  • Data Quality : Cleanse and resolve the data quality issue prior to the analysis.

  • Integration : Combine both the sources into the single, user friendly data models designed for the analytics queries.

  • Scope : Focus on the latest datasets onl; Historization of the data is not really required

  • Documentation: Provide a clean documents where all the data models details is to be provided to business stakeholder and analytics teams

    📊BI: Analytics & Reporting (Data Analytics)

    Objective

    Develop a SQL-based analytics to deliver a detailed insights into the:

    • Customer Behavior
    • Product Performance
    • Sales Trends
    • Meaningfull Insights

These insights empowers stakeholders with the key business matrics, enabling the startergic decision-making.

🏛️ Data Architecture

The Data Architecture for this project follows the Medallion Architecture Bronze, Silver and Gold layer Architecture model drawio

  1. Bronze Layer:- It stores the raw data as-is from the system. Data is ingested from the CSV files ito the SQL Server Database.
  2. Silver Layer:- This Layer inclued the data cleasing, standardization, and normalization processes to prepare data for analysis.
  3. Gold Layer:- House business-ready data modelled into a star schema required for reporting and analysis.
