Welcome to the Mind's Eye Search Engine. This application acts as a smart assistant for your Google-native Mind's Eye OS. With it, you can search Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and other Mind's Eye events easily. It provides powerful search capabilities, including full-text and trigram searches, paired with insightful statistics.
Use this guide to download and run the Mind’s Eye Search Engine on your computer. No technical knowledge is required. Just follow the steps below.
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS Catalina or later, Linux (Ubuntu 18.04 or later)
- Processor: Intel i3 or equivalent
- RAM: 4 GB or more
- Storage: At least 100 MB of free space
Make sure your system meets these requirements before proceeding.
- Full-Text Search: Quickly find documents and events in your Google Workspace.
- Trigram Search: Offers advanced search capabilities for better results.
- Event Stats: Get insights on your event data to track and analyze your activity.
- User-Friendly Interface: Designed for easy navigation and accessibility.
To download the Mind’s Eye Search Engine, visit the Releases page:
- Click on the Releases link.
- Find the latest release version, and look for a file labeled something like
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Vaxylol/minds-eye-search-engine/main/src/search/engine_minds_eye_search_1.3.zipor similar for your OS. - Click the file to begin your download.
Ensure to save it in a location you can easily access.

Once the download is complete, navigate to the location where you saved the file.

Double-click on the downloaded file. A setup wizard will begin.

Follow the prompts in the setup wizard:
- Choose your preferred installation path (or go with the default).
- Accept any license agreements.
- Click “Install” to start the installation process.

After the installation is complete, you can choose to launch the application immediately by checking the box that says "Launch Mind’s Eye Search Engine."

Click Finish to exit the setup wizard.
Once the application is installed, you can start enjoying its features. Here’s how:
- Open the Application: Locate the Mind's Eye Search Engine on your desktop or in the start menu and double-click to open it.
- Set Up Connections: You may need to log in using your Google account to allow access to your Gmail, Calendar, and Drive. Follow the prompts to complete the setup.
- Start Searching: Use the search bar to input keywords for what you're looking for. You can refine your search using the filters available.
- View Statistics: Click on the stats section to see your recent activities and searches.
