Many have asked about the difference of scheduling on Clouds and Grids. In my view, the main difference between cloud and grid is cloud charges you and grid does not have price explicitly (may have quota)
The next thing is for cloud you have a better flexibility in resource provisioning, this may have some influence but not significant since grids can have resource provisioning as well.
Other issues like, cloud usually means you have full control of the cluster but grid means you are sharing resources with others.
