If you are happy user of GNU/Linux system, to install library you have to just
sudo ln -sf `pwd`/mpl /usr/share/texmf-dist/metapost/mpl
sudo ln -sf `pwd`/dmvn /usr/share/texmf/tex/dmvn
sudo mktexlsr
