Creating a New Label
Labels help you organize your emails into categories such as “work”, “friends”, or any other group you define. Follow these steps to create a new label called NEW.
Steps in the Web Interface
Locate the Labels Section On the left sidebar, scroll down to the section titled Labels. You will see your existing labels, such as work and friends.
Add a New Label Next to the “Labels” heading, click on the + (plus) icon. A text field will appear.
Enter the Label Name Type NEW into the text field.
Confirm Creation Press Enter or click Create. The new label will now appear in the Labels list.
Assign Emails to the Label
Select one or more emails from your inbox.
Click on the three line menu for the selected email/s.
Choose Labels → check NEW → confirm.
The emails will now show the NEW label attached to them.
