This *should* work, but beware that it is possible it will result in a different `git describe` output that breaks the parser.

Note: Merging/deploying this is blocked on Zoltu/Gradle.Plugin.SimpleGradlePluginPublish#1 If that ever gets fixed it would be cool to get this merged, deployed and tested. See #25 for related discussion. |

Hmm, no such luck. It appears that jgit 6.x requires a newer version of Java. |
