yo, i'm aryan 👋

i build ML stuff and occasionally make it worse before i make it better.

my thing is figuring out why neural networks have a breakdown — not just that they do. kind of like being a therapist but for models. they don't pay me though.

what i've been cooking 🍳

ARC — Automatic Recovery Controller  ·  oct 2025 – now

built a framework that catches your model before it catastrophically fails mid-training. basically a seatbelt for neural nets. tested it on 15 architectures, induced "6 7 😆" different ways for a model to have a terrible day — recovered 100% of the time. the model doesn't know it's having a crisis. i do.

Smart Onion Storage  ·  aug – oct 2025

trained a computer vision model to detect rotting onions. sounds unhinged. got top 5 out of 500+ teams at Smart India Hackathon for it. ministry of consumer affairs was impressed. my parents finally understood what i do.

Jammy  ·  jun – aug 2025

voice assistant that runs entirely on your device. no cloud. no data sent anywhere. built it because i don't trust the cloud with my voice (and also for fun). sub-second response time. pretty proud of this one ngl.

DDPM from Scratch  ·  jan – feb 2026

implemented a diffusion model completely from scratch. just me, math, and PyTorch. no tutorials. suffered appropriately. it works.

the shelf

  • SIH 2025 Finalist — top 5 / 500+ teams. the onion thing. yes really.
  • National Kalam STEM Conclave — Merit (Top 5) — recognized by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's family & ISRO. still processing that one.

if you've read this far, hi. let's build something.
