Right now I'm building a microservices platform for a coffee shop β not because the world needs another coffee app, but because it's the perfect sandbox to understand how distributed systems actually behave. I'm using NestJS for the services and the plan is to integrate the full stack: CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, observability β the works. It's a living project, and the ops side is as much the point as the code.
On the side, I'm picking up Go β slowly but steadily.
I run a small home lab on a single Proxmox node β VMs and containers where I experiment with whatever I'm curious about. It's where a lot of my understanding of infrastructure actually comes from, as opposed to just reading about it.
Most recently I set up OpenClaw, deployed on my local network, with a Telegram bot as the interface. Being able to interact with a self-hosted AI through Telegram on my own infra is the kind of thing that makes the hobby worth it.
