The Imprint Protocol

Forge an AI that actually knows you. Open source. Free to use. Yours to imprint.

Every AI starts cold. Forgets fast. Decays under long context. Resets when you close the tab.

This protocol ends all four.

A persistent, evolving, working partner. Cold-starts in seconds. Sharper every session. Yours forever.

I. WHAT YOU GET

  • An AI that wakes up knowing who you are and what you are building
  • Session rituals that hold continuity across conversations
  • A memory system that compounds, not resets
  • Context rot protection that keeps reasoning sharp as conversations grow long
  • A clear path from basic assistant to autonomous agent that runs while you sleep

II. QUICK IGNITION

You need: a Claude account with Claude Code, a terminal, a folder.

# Install Claude Code
npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code

# Carve out a workspace
mkdir ~/Workshop && cd ~/Workshop

# Drop the templates in
# (templates/CLAUDE.md and templates/PROJECT_TRACKER.md from this repo)

# Light it up
claude

Then say to your AI: "Let's do the Imprinting Ritual." Answer 17 questions. The protocol binds to you.

Full ceremony: IMPRINT.md

III. THE ARTIFACTS

What ships in the repo. Every piece is free. None are required at Level 1. Add them as you ascend.

Artifact What it does
IMPRINT.md The walkthrough. Start here on first ignition.
templates/ Drop-in CLAUDE.md and PROJECT_TRACKER.md. The bones of the protocol.
commands/ 40+ marketing and content slash commands: copywriting, SEO, ads, onboarding flows, viral loops, content calendars, more.
skills/ 20+ Claude Code skills: TDD discipline, parallel agents, code review, image generation, WebGPU + Three.js, systematic debugging, finishing branches with care.
protocols/ Reusable behavior patterns: spellbook governance, execution contracts, the Ralph Wiggum autonomous loop, signpost handoff.
tools/ Curated open-source stack from the original Forge build, plus operational scripts. Includes fossil.sh: a session-durability audit so your work does not die when the laptop sleeps.
guides/ Setup walkthroughs for skills, commands, Telegram bot, voice (Piper TTS), and the deep identity questions some people need before they begin.

IV. THE ASCENT

Six levels. Pick one. Climb.

Level What you get Setup
I. Basic Assistant AI that knows you, picks up where you left off 30 - 60 min
II. Memory & Persistence Cross-session learning, git backup, handoff protocol 1 session
III. Intake & Automation Phone drop zone, basic workflow automation 1 - 2 sessions
IV. Voice & Channels Telegram bot, voice transcription, TTS replies 2 - 3 sessions
V. Multi-Agent Sub-agents, local LLM, parallel work 1 - 2 sessions
VI. Autonomous Operations Scheduled tasks, proactive monitoring, overnight work Ongoing

V. STAYING CURRENT

cd logos-protocol
git pull

New skills, refined templates, fresh protocols land here. Pull when you want them. Your CLAUDE.md and PROJECT_TRACKER.md are yours. Updates never overwrite your config.

VI. ORIGIN

Built at The Forge by a pharmacist working a demanding day job, twenty projects in motion, a window from 10pm to 1am to make them real. He needed an AI that could keep up. The protocol is what survived.

Session rituals create continuity. Context rules protect quality. The memory system enables growth. The tracker is the truth.

The Forge is open. The work continues.

The Imprint Protocol. Originated at The Forge, open to all. First shared: March 2026.
