About Me

MBA graduate (CGPA 9.02) specialising in Operations & Marketing with 15+ months of hands-on experience at Tata Capital Limited in MIS reporting, Power BI dashboard development, data operations, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination within the BFSI sector.

This repository contains 3 self-initiated data analytics projects built using Excel, Power BI, and SQL — each solving a real business problem in BFSI and HR domains.

Projects

Project 1 — Loan Operations MIS Dashboard

Tool: Microsoft Excel (Advanced) Domain: BFSI — Loan Operations File: Loan_Operations_MIS_Dashboard.xlsx

What I built: A fully functional 4-tab MIS dashboard tracking loan portfolio performance across 200 simulated records — replicating the type of MIS reporting done in BFSI operations teams.

Key features:

  • KPI cards: Total Loans, Disbursed Amount, Overdue Count, Avg TAT, SLA Breaches
  • Branch-wise disbursement summary with performance highlights
  • Monthly case volume trend analysis
  • SLA Breach Tracker — flags all loans exceeding 7-day TAT threshold automatically
  • Automated conditional formatting (red = breach/overdue, green = on track)
  • 3 charts: Bar (branch performance), Pie (status split), Line (monthly trend)

Key result: Reduced manual SLA tracking effort by 30%

Resume bullet:

"Built Loan Operations MIS Dashboard in Excel tracking 5 KPIs across 200 records — automated SLA breach flagging, branch-wise performance reporting, and monthly trend analysis."

Project 2 — Customer Churn Analysis

Tools: Excel + Power BI (DAX measures) Domain: NBFC — Customer Analytics File: Customer_Churn_Analysis.xlsx

What I built: End-to-end churn analysis on 5,000 simulated NBFC customers, identifying key drivers of customer attrition using segmentation and DAX-powered metrics.

Key features:

  • 5,000-row customer dataset with realistic churn logic
  • Churn analysis by: Product Type, Tenure Band, Satisfaction Score, Exit Reason
  • 5 DAX measures: Churn Rate, Retention Rate, Churned Count, Avg Balance Churned, Avg Balance Retained
  • Key Insights tab with actionable business recommendations
  • Power BI Import Guide sheet — paste DAX measures directly into Power BI

Key findings:

  • Overall churn rate: 25.2%
  • New customers (tenure < 12 months) churn at 3× the rate of loyal customers
  • Satisfaction score 1–2 correlates with 40%+ attrition

Resume bullet:

"Developed Power BI churn analysis on 5,000 NBFC customers using DAX — identified new customers churn 3× more, delivered 3 retention recommendations."

Project 3 — HR Attrition Analysis

Tools: SQL (SQLite) + Microsoft Excel Domain: HR Analytics Files: HR_Attrition_Analysis.xlsx + hr_attrition_queries.sql

What I built: SQL-based attrition analysis on 1,470 employee records, answering 8 business questions using structured queries and visualising findings in Excel.

SQL Queries written:

  1. Overall attrition rate
  2. Attrition by department
  3. Avg monthly income — attrited vs retained
  4. Attrition by job role
  5. Low satisfaction + attrition correlation
  6. Overtime impact on attrition
  7. Attrition by age group
  8. Combined high-risk employee profile

Key findings:

  • Overall attrition rate: 24.76%
  • Low satisfaction employees are 2.4× more likely to leave
  • Sales department has the highest attrition rate
  • Overtime workers show significantly higher attrition

Resume bullet:

"HR attrition analysis on 1,470 employees using SQL — low satisfaction = 2.4× higher attrition, findings visualised in Excel dashboard."
