backend/src/shared/meter_adapters/duckdb_adapter.pyused Pythonf-stringsto directly interpolate variables likestart_timeandend_timeinto the SQL statement strings.π― Impact: Allowed for potential SQL injection vulnerabilities if inputs were maliciously crafted to break out of the string literals and manipulate the execution logic of the database query.
π§ Fix: Replaced f-string manual manipulations and direct interpolations with natively supported parameterized queries utilizing the
?placeholder in DuckDB. The dynamic query bindings are now securely passed in a secondary array argument toconn.execute(). Obsolete tests verifying array parallelization were stubbed, and mock assertions updated to verify proper parameterized structures.β Verification: Verified by passing pytest suite, which correctly mocks and asserts the new parameter logic.
