I’m reluctant to do so when a built in option seems viable and incoming, because if people have a script and then get the feature natively there will need to be a migration. I’ll mark as draft for now, so it’s available and findable as a reference for people who want the feature imminently, but clearer that it shouldn’t get merged unless discussion on the native feature ends with a decision to not merge that approach. |

Assuming ArduPilot/ardupilot#30456 gets included in 4.7 I think that should be preferred over merging this, but putting this here as a reference for people who want something in the meantime, or to make custom failsafe behaviour 🤷♂️
