🚀 Hello World JavaScript

JavaScript Node.js Status Completed

As a software engineer expanding my runtime toolsets, I am establishing a clean development workflow to test local execution, environment pathing, and package compilation tools. This initial script serves as a technical sanity check for baseline configurations before jumping into advanced architectures.

This software is a JavaScript console application that prints a personalized greeting to the terminal. It evaluates runtime object executions and ensures native standard logic interprets correctly using Node.js.

The purpose of creating this application is to validate my workspace configuration, verify that Git lifecycle tracking syncs seamlessly with public remote infrastructure, and confirm that automated development runtimes are ready for continuous delivery.

🚀 Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Node.js runtime environment (v20+) installed.

Installation & Execution

Clone this repository to your local machine:

git clone https://github.com/bryanwessantana/hello-world-javascript.git

Navigate into the project directory:

cd hello-world-javascript

Run the application:

node index.js

🎮 Interface Preview

When executed, the script initializes the runtime environment and triggers a native terminal stream:

======================================
     ENVIRONMENT SANITY CHECK
======================================
Hello, World!
Runtime execution verified successfully.
--------------------------------------
Process exited with code 0

🛠️ Development Environment

  • IDE: Visual Studio Code
  • Runtime Environment: Node.js (v20+)
  • Version Control: Git & GitHub

The software was developed using native JavaScript (ES6+), leveraging built-in string interpolation and object literals to deliver a lightweight terminal execution.

🔮 Future Enhancements

To expand this environment-validation suite, the following updates are targeted:

  • Integrate Jest to execute basic unit test assertions on string outputs.
  • Set up a GitHub Actions workflow to run automated testing on every code push.
