Muncie, Indiana Amateur Radio Codeplug

A ready-to-load CHIRP codeplug covering amateur repeaters in and around Muncie / Delaware County, Indiana — plus nearby Anderson, Marion, Yorktown, Gaston, and a set of statewide Indiana linked-system machines and the seven NOAA weather channels.

41 channels, VHF (2 m) and UHF (70 cm), all analog FM.

File Description
chirp/muncie-codeplug.csv CHIRP generic CSV — import into any CHIRP-supported radio
munciecodeplug.xlsx Original spreadsheet the CSV was generated from

Loading it into your radio

  1. Install CHIRP (the current chirp-next build).
  2. Connect your radio and Radio → Download From Radio. Save that image first — it is your backup.
  3. File → Open chirp/muncie-codeplug.csv.
  4. Select the rows you want, copy, and paste them into your downloaded radio image tab.
  5. Radio → Upload To Radio.

Always download and save your radio's original image before uploading anything. Do not upload the CSV directly to the radio — paste the channels into a real image for your model so the radio-specific settings are preserved.

Notes on compatibility

  • Names are 7 characters. Many handhelds (Baofeng UV-5R and friends) cap channel names at 6–7 characters, which is why entries read ANDERSO and YORKTOW. Lengthen them if your radio allows.
  • Power is set to 4.0W on repeater channels and 1.0W on the weather channels. Radios with different power steps will snap these to the nearest supported level.
  • Weather channels are receive-only in practice. They are listed as simplex; set them to RX-only or add them to your radio's skip list if you want to avoid transmitting on 162 MHz. Transmitting there is not legal for amateur licensees.
  • Channel 11 is intentionally absent — the numbering jumps from 10 to 12.

Channel list

Dup is the repeater offset direction. Under Tone/DCS, a single value followed by (TX) means a transmit-only tone (no receive squelch); two values are transmit / receive.

Corrections welcome

Repeaters move, change tones, and go silent. If something here is wrong or a machine is missing, open an issue or send a pull request with the corrected row. Please cite where the information came from — the trustee, the club, or a current RepeaterBook listing.
