FAQ
Everything lives in ~/.projecthub:
-
projects/– Records of projects you've created -
packs/– Installed template packs -
settings.local.json– Your preferences
Install a template pack:
- Go to Settings → Packs.
- Click the download icon next to a pack.
The templates appear in the project wizard immediately.
Only when fetching packs from GitHub. Everything else—creating projects, managing templates—works offline.
Go to Settings → General and pick a new accent color. The change applies instantly.
A few things to check:
- Make sure you installed the pack (Settings → Packs).
- Click Refresh in the Packs tab.
- Restart the app if templates still don't appear.
Not from the app. ProjectHub doesn't have an undo feature for deletions.
If you need to recover something, restore from a backup of your ~/.projecthub folder.
Yes. Create a pack with your templates and either:
-
Add a custom marketplace: Host your packs on GitHub, then add the marketplace in Settings → Packs using
owner/repoformat -
Manual install: Place the pack folder directly in
~/.projecthub/packs/
See Using-Packs for full marketplace instructions.
Yes. ProjectHub supports multiple marketplaces. The official marketplace is always available, and you can add custom marketplaces for team or community packs. Each pack shows its source in the Source column.
If one marketplace fails to load (e.g., GitHub rate limit), other marketplaces continue working normally. You'll see an error message under the affected marketplace.
