Dendrite

Dendrite is a portable plugin catalog for Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini. It packages agent skills, MCP server registrations, commands, hooks, config helpers, Gemini extension manifests, and OpenAI companion metadata in one place.

Use it when you want a single marketplace that can install the same practical agent capabilities across multiple runtimes.

Why Install It

Dendrite is useful when you want an agent to do more than edit files:

• Run full development loops with vibin: prepare safe worktrees, commit and push, review PRs, check merge readiness, debug CI, save session logs, and drive helper tools.
• Test real apps with testing, webwright, agent-browser, and browser / device automation skills.
• Work with homelab and service APIs through focused skills for Paperless, Qdrant, Neo4j, Linkding, AdGuard, Dozzle, Scrutiny, SWAG, Navidrome, and related tools.
• Build and maintain MCP servers and plugins with mcp-server-dev, plugin-dev, rtemplate, and acp.
• Add stronger review and coding workflows through curated plugins such as superpowers, lavra, pr-review-toolkit, code-simplifier, and feature-dev.
• Bring in search, RAG, and research helpers such as lumen, axon, and notebooklm.

Marketplace Installation

Install the default marketplace when you want the full catalog, including plugin-provided MCP registrations:

Gemini installs individual extension directories rather than one Dendrite-wide marketplace catalog:

Marketplace Variants

main is the canonical full marketplace branch. It includes the plugin metadata and MCP server registrations needed for the default installation path.

marketplace-no-mcp is the same marketplace catalog without bundled MCP server registrations. Use it when you want the skills and plugin metadata without automatically adding MCP servers to the agent runtime.

The no-MCP variant is useful when:

• You only want the plugin skills and CLIs, and do not want MCP tool definitions adding context overhead.
• You already run MCP servers through a separate MCP gateway or aggregator.
• You want skills that can still work through their fallback path: MCP first, then CLI, then direct HTTP calls where the skill supports it.
