Pull request overview
Updates AutoOps + ECK documentation to reflect that AutoOps no longer requires an Enterprise license (as of ECK 3.3.1) while clarifying the resulting license-dependent minimum AutoOps Agent version requirements.
Changes:
- Document license-dependent minimum AutoOps Agent versions for ECK (
AutoOpsAgentPolicy) installs. - Add guidance/warnings for license downgrades (Enterprise → Basic) that can cause
AutoOpsAgentPolicyto enter anInvalidphase on older agent versions. - Extend troubleshooting docs to cover the
Invalidphase scenario and add verification steps.

@naemono Thank you so much for updating the docs! I've made some suggestions to align these changes with the style and wording of other related docs. Please let me know if you have any questions. |

@naemono How do these new requirements affect Platinum license holders? Would they be in the same boat as Enterprise? If so, we need to reflect that in the docs everywhere we mention "Enterprise" |
ECK only supports Enterprise and basic licenses. https://www.elastic.co/docs/deploy-manage/license/manage-your-license-in-eck |

Since the ECK 3.3.1 release, AutoOps has removed the requirement for an Enterprise license. Unfortunate side-effect of this is the version of the AutoOps Agent became more complex:
