Summary
This RFC proposes publishing official OCI-compliant container images for ESLint to address the current fragmentation of unofficial images across the ecosystem.
Problem:
Numerous unofficial ESLint images exist on Docker Hub and GitHub Container Registry
No standardized, maintained solution from the ESLint team
Security and trust concerns with third-party images
Proposed Solution:
Publish Alpine and Debian-based images to GitHub Container Registry
Automated builds with each ESLint release
Multi-architecture support (amd64, arm64)
