This is very Claude-heavy at the moment, and hopefully not overly dense. I'll rewrite it a fair bit if it seems like a promising direction at all. There are a few related ideas in here:
did:mailto:that generalizes in two directions: they don't have to use email addresses, and they don't implicitly depend on our centralized auth service.
