EMEA Spring Weeks 2025

Welcome to the EMEA Spring Weeks 2025 repository! This list is maintained to help students find and track spring week opportunities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for the year 2025.

Spring weeks, also known as insight weeks or first-year internships, are short programs typically aimed at first or second-year university students. They provide a valuable opportunity to gain insight into various industries, particularly in finance and technology.

Every student right now knows the struggle of finding internships and work opportunities with the current market, so why not tackle the problem before it even becomes one?

Beside being an amazing opportunity to learn first hand about the company, in most cases a spring week can be converted into an internship offer: as someone who participated in a spring week from a major financial institution, which then led to a summer internship and eventually to a graduate offer, I wanted to create this resource taking inspiration from the Simplify internships list.

⚠️ This repository is exclusively for spring week opportunities in the EMEA region, the majority of which take place in the UK.

Disclaimer:

1. For programs that haven't opened their applications yet, the opening dates and deadlines are mostly estimates based on previous years.
2. If they recruit on a rolling basis, it is recommended that you apply as soon as possible, as they will keep going until they fill all the spots reserved. Some companies use this approach but still put down a deadline, you will find this in the following table as "Rolling" followed by the deadline. Some others, such as Morgan Stanley and Blackrock, have multiple programs - you will find multiple deadlines but always make sure to check the insight page.

❓ FAQ

Who is eligible for spring weeks?

Typically, spring weeks are aimed at first or second-year university students (if enrolled in a four-year degree). However, eligibility can vary by company and program.

When do applications for spring weeks usually open?

Many companies open their applications in the autumn of the year before the program (i.e., autumn 2024 for spring 2025 programs), just after the time summer internships applications open. Personally, the months I was mostly focused on applications were late October to December, but some companies open applications as early as September.

What is the duration of a spring week?

Again, it depends. The most important banking and consulting firms usually have a week-long program, while others can have "discovery days" or "insight days" that last a day or two.

Which types of companies offer spring weeks?

Spring weeks were born and are most common in the finance and consulting industries, but they are slowly being offered by tech companies as well.

Are any expenses covered?

Once again, it varies for each program. I would say that longer programs (4/5 days) tend to cover flights and accommodation, while shorter ones may just offer a reimbursement for food and commute. Always make sure to check the application page.

This project was inspired by the Pitt CSC & Simplify Summer Internship List. As a beneficiary of a spring week program that led to an internship and eventually a graduate position, I wanted to create a similar resource for EMEA spring weeks.

Contributing

As of right now, I am the only contributor to this repository. I am just starting out with the list I had for 2023 spring weeks, and I think the amount of effort I need to put into this is still manageable. However, if this project grows and starts to reach a bigger audience, I will definitely look into ways for others to contribute.
