I think this is pretty cool. I'd 100% play one. Just a few remarks:

(idk what the common language is called? Simlish type shit)

As someone on the lore team who's discussed this, the language spoken by crew in-universe is Anglosinetic, a blend of English and Mandarin. Just thought you might like to know.

Finally, when asked in an interview how the divide between Martians and the rest of the universe could be bridged even further, the super-genius superstars made a revelation never before thought of: "Just use AAC tablets." This was later renamed to the "Speech Pro™" as the brand became synonymous with the product.
They have language barriers and need Speech Pro's™ to communicate with other species.
VERY IMPORTANT: the AAC tablet needs to be renamed to "Speech Pro™"

Let's make an exclusive AAC tablet that's called that with no other changes :godo:

They are adapted to high pressure environments and have to wear special inner clothing suits and bubble helmets or they blobify
Blobification does not necessarily kill them, just makes them incredibly slow and requires them to be repressurized to fit back into their suits. (Current idea is a long do-after to "squeeze" them back in.)

When discussing species design, Tay mentioned they wanted a "gas species" (i.e., a Funky take on Plasmamen). Is this going to fill that slot, so to speak, or will it stepping on the toes of say, G's Plasmaman redux be a potential problem?

Also I'm going to be the annoying nerd here and say that a species that requires high amounts of pressure to live a comfortable life probably wouldn't come from a planet that has 0.6% of Earth's atmospheric pressure :godo:

Yeah that's helpful, thanks!

I think it being brandnamed is much more appropriate to the setting tbh. We don't have nearly enough branded products.

I don't see why it would step on the Plasmamen's toes. They're similar only in the fact that they have to wear a suit, but they're not gaseous nor will they emit anything when the suit is off. Also, their suit occupies the uniform slot so they will work considerably differently.

They're from Glumph, which I forgot to mention pretty much immediately after posting then didn't get to it. NanoTrasen calls it Mart because in classic people style they named something and will continue to call it that regardless of corrections that may or may not be made. I am already strongly considering changing it though, as connections or references to Mars seems to be a problem for reasons I cannot figure out yet.
