I think this is pretty cool. I'd 100% play one. Just a few remarks:
As someone on the lore team who's discussed this, the language spoken by crew in-universe is Anglosinetic, a blend of English and Mandarin. Just thought you might like to know.
Let's make an exclusive AAC tablet that's called that with no other changes :godo:
When discussing species design, Tay mentioned they wanted a "gas species" (i.e., a Funky take on Plasmamen). Is this going to fill that slot, so to speak, or will it stepping on the toes of say, G's Plasmaman redux be a potential problem? Also I'm going to be the annoying nerd here and say that a species that requires high amounts of pressure to live a comfortable life probably wouldn't come from a planet that has 0.6% of Earth's atmospheric pressure :godo: |
Yeah that's helpful, thanks!
I think it being brandnamed is much more appropriate to the setting tbh. We don't have nearly enough branded products.
I don't see why it would step on the Plasmamen's toes. They're similar only in the fact that they have to wear a suit, but they're not gaseous nor will they emit anything when the suit is off. Also, their suit occupies the uniform slot so they will work considerably differently.
They're from Glumph, which I forgot to mention pretty much immediately after posting then didn't get to it. NanoTrasen calls it Mart because in classic people style they named something and will continue to call it that regardless of corrections that may or may not be made. I am already strongly considering changing it though, as connections or references to Mars seems to be a problem for reasons I cannot figure out yet. |
